Pro Bono Net is pleased to announce that probono.net/dc, the District of Columbia site that was launched just one year ago, has won the DC Bar’s “2003 Best Bar Project Award.” The award was presented to the probono.net/dc partners at the D.C. Bar’s Annual Meeting and Awards Dinner on Wednesday, June 25, 2003.

Probono.net/dc provides resources to volunteer lawyers in the areas of Community Development, Employment, Family Law, Public Benefits, and Housing, as well as two nationally based practice areas, Asylum and Death Penalty.

The site was two years in development and represents enormous amounts of time and effort among dozens of people and organizations who provided the ideas and resources that so enrich this program. Pro Bono Net is proud to have been a part of these efforts. We congratulate all the participating organizations on this well-deserved award!
